This guide explains the privacy controls available to you in Mind Prism and how to manage your data.
What Data You Control
Chat History
Your chat conversations are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers or backed up to the cloud.
This means:
- Your conversations are completely private
- Only you can see your chat history
- If you delete the app, your chats are permanently deleted
- Chats do not sync between devices
How to Manage Your Chats

API Key Management
You can choose how to authenticate with AI models:
Option 1: Use Your Own API Key
You provide your own OpenRouter API key. Your key is stored locally on your device. We never see or store your personal API key.
Option 2: Use Our Managed Service
We provide API access through our server. You purchase credits through us. Your encrypted API key (if provided) is stored securely on our server.
To manage your API key:
- Go to Settings
- Tap Account
- Choose to add, update, or remove your API key
Account Data
What We Store on Our Servers
If you create an account, we store:

How to Delete Your Account
To permanently delete your account and all associated data:
- Contact us at the.valdex@gmail.com
- Include the email address associated with your account
- We will process your request within 30 days
Note: Some data may be retained for legal or accounting purposes.
What Happens When You Send a Message
When you send a message in Mind Prism:
Your Device → Our Server → OpenRouter → AI Model
↓
(No message content stored)
- Your message travels through our server to OpenRouter
- OpenRouter routes it to the appropriate AI model (GPT, Claude, etc.)
- The response comes back the same way
- We do not store the content of your messages on our servers
Third-Party Data Processing
Your messages are processed by:
- OpenRouter.ai — Routes requests to AI providers
- AI Model Providers — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.
Each provider has their own privacy policy. Key points:
- Most providers may use your data to improve their models (check their policies)
- Some providers offer data opt-out options
Images and Attachments
When you attach images to messages:
- Images are resized based on your quality setting (SD/HD/UHD)
- Images are transmitted to AI models that support vision
- Images are cached locally on your device (up to 50MB)
- Images are NOT permanently stored on our servers
To clear image cache:
- Uninstall and reinstall the app, or
- Delete individual chats containing images
App Preferences
Your preferences are stored locally on your device:
- Theme (light/dark mode)
- Accent color
- Font size
- Message density
- Favorite models
- Currency preference
- Language preference
These settings are not synced and will be lost if you uninstall the app.
Logging Out
When you log out:
- Authentication tokens are deleted from your device
- Secure Keychain data is cleared
- Your chat history remains on your device
- Your account still exists on our server
To fully remove your data, you need to:
- Delete your chats in the app
- Log out
- Request account deletion (if desired)
Data Export
You can export your data at any time:
Export Chat History
- Go to the History drawer
- Tap the Export button
- Choose to export individual chats or all chats
- Save the exported file
Exported files are in a format that can be re-imported into Mind Prism.
Request Account Data
To receive a copy of all data we store about you:
- Email us at the.valdex@gmail.com
- Subject: "Data Export Request"
- Include your account email address
- We will respond within 30 days

Can you read my chats?
No. Your chat history is stored only on your device. We cannot access it.
Do you sell my data?
No. We never sell, trade, or rent your personal information.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Your chat history will be lost as it's stored only on your device. Your account can still be accessed on a new device, but previous chats cannot be recovered.
How do I opt out of data collection?
You can:
- Use your own API key (we won't see your usage)
- Not create an account (limited functionality)
- Request account deletion at any time
Are my conversations used to train AI models?
This depends on the AI provider you're using. Check:
